For over 20 years, Meng-Chow has been a strong global advocate and contributor towards cybersecurity standards,
professional developments, management practices and policy formulation.
He established our first security standards committee in 1998, co-founded the RAISE Forum in 2004, and in 2006, became the first Convenor for the inaugural
ISO Security Services Standards Working Group leading the publication of numerous ISO standards on cybersecurity. In 2012, he pioneered the world’s-first
Multi-tier Cloud Security Standards—a cornerstone for security assurance of cloud service providers in Singapore and the financial sector in Korea. More
than 120 cloud services and 20 of the top global CSPs have been certified against this standard since 2013.
His work in (ISC)² board and advisory roles and more recently, as member of its global diversity task force, has influenced the growth and practice of cybersecurity profession across its 167,000 members and associates worldwide.
As author, Meng-Chow’s book and commentaries on “Responsive Security”, and lectures as adjunct Associate Professor at NTU, has helped to raise the importance of security readiness in enterprise among practitioners and academia alike.
As member of the MAS International Cybersecurity Advisory Panels, and a GovTech Smart Nation Fellow on Cybersecurity, his experience has helped shape the cybersecurity policy landscape in Singapore.
