Kwok Yan has been contributing to cybersecurity in Singapore as an educator, a researcher as well
as a practitioner for
the past three decades. In 1992, he created the first tertiary level IT security course in
Singapore.
Since 1995, he
has led many highly successful government-industry-university research collaborations on
information security and has
played the role of chief security architect for many security-sensitive systems for banks and
governments in the region.
Today, Kwok Yan is the Associate Vice President (Strategy and Partnerships) and a Professor in
the School of Computer
Science and Engineering of NTU.
