Kwok Yan has been contributing to cybersecurity in Singapore as an educator, a researcher as well as a practitioner for the past three decades. In 1992, he created the first tertiary level IT security course in Singapore.

Since 1995, he has led many highly successful government-industry-university research collaborations on information security and has played the role of chief security architect for many security-sensitive systems for banks and governments in the region. Today, Kwok Yan is the Associate Vice President (Strategy and Partnerships) and a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering of NTU.

Hoi Wai Khin, Partner, Technology Consulting of RSM Singapore whose day job is an auditor, consultant, in-house CISO walk the talk and volunteer at different platforms to develop the youths through sharing. I urges everyone that for security, enjoy the journey and try to get better every day. Don't lose the passion and the love for what you do. I hopes that everyone volunteers and contributes back to the ecosystem.

Stanislav Protassov is the Technology President of Acronis who provide his leadership to building the knowledge and capabilities of the Singapore R&D team. This will cement Singapore as Acronis’ nerve centre for innovation, and product development, which I believe will enhance Singapore’s reputation as a hub for developing cutting-edge Cyber Protection technologies.

It is such an honour to be nominated alongside with so many incredible professionals and veterans who inspires me. As a working mother with a child less than 2 years old and someone who didn’t come from a technical background, I’m immensely grateful to have the chance to contribute to the cyber security space and I would like to encourage more people who are willing and have the mindset to contribute to join the industry, regardless of their experience and background. Furthermore, I would like to thank those who have supported me throughout this journey and the judges who have acknowledged me. I’m elated to be presented with this award and it continues to motivate me to serve the cyber security community.

Jay Kai is passionate about tech as an enabler. Inspired to serve his fellow youths when he attended a student-led cybersecurity bootcamp, Jay Kai worked to advance digital inclusivity and sustainability as Deputy Chief Executive (Collective) at a youth-in-tech charity, Cyber Youth Singapore. He led flagship memberships and engagement initiatives, including the Youthx series which has empowered over 700 youths. An avid student of cybersecurity, he looks forward to furthering his competencies in this exciting sector.
