AVIP Members

Individuals who are existing Ordinary Members of AiSP through Path 1 and 3 based on (either Point
1
and 2, or Point 1 and 3):
-
At least one (1) certification in information security (IS) from AiSP’s approved
list
-
A recognised degree with at least three years of working experience in IS OR
-
A non-IS degree or a non-degree holder with at least five (5) years of working
experience in information security.

AiSP Ordinary Members who are approved based on Path 2 (i.e. experience as senior management
or
project management) would not be eligible for AVIP.
Ordinary Members
Path 1
- At least 1 certification in information security (IS) from
AISP’s approved list (Please refer to our website: https://www.aisp.sg/certification.html
); and,

A recognised degree in IS with at least 1 years of
working experience in IS
OR
A non-IS degree (or a non-degree holder) with at least
3 years of working experience in IS
Path 2
- At least 3 years of senior management or project
management experience in IS; and,
-
Have at least a total of 8 years of working experience
in IS,
OR
Have successfully implemented at least a total of S$5
million worth of IS projects.
Path 3
-
At least 10 years of working experiences in information security (IS) industry
-
Be nominated by two (2) AISP EXCO members
- Individuals who meet the qualification criteria set by the Executive Committee and who
are
employed in
Information Security activities or professional practices related to Information
Security
for
such periods as may be determined by the Executive Committee from time to time. For the
avoidance of doubt,
these qualifications apply only at the time of applying for membership.

Ordinary Members have voting rights and are eligible to stand for office.
Associate Members
-
One or more professional certifications with 1 year of
working experience in IS,
OR
A recognised degree in IS with at least 1 year of
working experience in IS,
OR
Non-IS degree holder (or a non-degree holder) with at
least 2 years of working experience in IS.
- Individuals who have yet to meet the qualification criteria for Ordinary membership but have
met
other relevant qualification
criteria set by the Executive Committee and who are employed in Information Security
activities
or
professional practices related to Information Security for such periods as may be determined
by
the Executive Committee from time to time.
- Associate Members have no voting rights and are not eligible to stand for office.
Affiliate Members
- Individuals who have yet to meet the qualification criteria for any other category of
Membership
but have an interest in information security.
- Affiliate Members have no voting rights and are not eligible to stand for office.
- Have an interest in information security.
