CREST runs examinations in the following disciplines:

• Penetration Testing

CREST examinations are broken down into three levels:

• The CREST Practitioner level examinations are the entry level exams into the profession and are aimed at individuals with around 2,500 hours relevant and frequent experience.
• The CREST Registered level examinations are the next step and by passing this you are demonstrating your commitment as an information security tester. Typically, candidates wishing to sit a Registered examination should have at least 6,000 hours (three years or more) relevant and frequent experience.
• The CREST Certified level examinations are designed to set the benchmark for senior professionals. These are the certifications to which most aspire.

The history of CREST in Singapore

The CREST organisation was established in 2006, and the accreditation and certification body came to Singapore in 2016 in partnership with the AiSP. Today, CREST is an independent operator within the Singapore cybersecurity ecosystem and a recognised partner and friend of the AiSP. CREST has over 300 accredited member companies and 1000s of CREST certified-consultants worldwide across Asia, the Americas, Australasia, EMEA and the UK.
